Taos Shortz Film Festival in Taos, New Mexico will happen March 1-4, 2012, and they're screening several amazing genre shorts by women:

"Wake Up" by Hannah MacPherson:

Leslie’s sleepwalking again, for the first time since her brother went missing fifteen years ago. Plagued by night terrors, she wakes up covered in dirt. Where is she going in the middle of the night, and will she dig up a dark secret about her brother’s disappearance?

Victoria Mather's animated fantasy "Stanley Pickle" about an odd man and his fantastic lonely life:

"Last Seen on Dolores St": Devi Snively's noir thriller based on her own horrible experiences in Los Angeles (no trailer)

and "La Lavadora" by Ana Aurora of Spain, in which crazy things happen in Spanish in a laudromat:
