The documentary by Kristy Guevara-Flanagan and Kelcey Edwards about superheroines, Wonder Woman, and super-woman imagery in feminist will finally screen! The movie, which is now called "Wonder Women: The Untold Story of America's Superheroines" will premiere in March 2012 and The South by Southwest Festival.
The film examines the fascinating evolution and legacy of the character of "Wonder Woman." The film looks at the birth of the comic book superheroine in the 1940s to the blockbusters of today, and at how popular representations of powerful women often reflect society’s anxieties about women’s liberation. Interviews include Lynda Carter, Lindsay Wagner, comic writers and artists, Gloria Steinem, and Shelby Knox.
