Danielle Harris' first feature directorial horror film, "Among Friends," is going to be distributed by UK's Aspect Film under their genre imprint Chiller Films.
I've been incredibly interested in this movie for a while now, since Harris first started directing. She has two horror shorts on her director's resume; "Willie," which was featured in the special features of the "Stakeland" DVD and was a character prequel for one of "Stakeland's main characters, and "Madison," a short originally ntended to be a part of the all-women directed anthology "Prank." "Madison was the only short shot from "Prank."
"Among Friends was written by Alyssa Lobit, produced by her sister Athena and Jennifer Blanc-Biehn (who also stars), and directed, of course, by Harris. It's a horror/comedy
about a dinner party gone wrong. Set against an 80s backdrop, good times take a dark turn when one in the group hijacks the evening in the name of Integrity. Through an attempt to help the others come clean about secret betrayals against one another, it’s revealed who's willing to cut through the bone to expose the truth.
It also features Christopher Backus, AJ Bowen, Dana Daurey, Brianne Davis, Kane Hodder, Kamala Jones, Alyssa Lobit and Chris Meyer.
